BTN Community Outreach Foundation
Building Trades Network started in Orange County California in 2010. We came together to help each other through the difficult times of the economic recession that hit our local construction industry hard.
However, we were not the only ones hurting.
We were fortunate to have a guest speaker, Beth Phillips of Furnishing Hope visit us and tell us about her charity. She needed help that weekend moving furniture into a new apartment being set up for a wounded Iraqi war vet and his young family. Her story and mission was so moving we not only helped that weekend we went on to help with many more of her projects.
Our Community Service commitment was born. It became apparent how important this aspect of giving back was to all of us. So in 2013 we applied for and were granted Non Profit 501(c)3 status to help us continue our Community Service Mission.
We operate under the guidance of our Board of Directors made up of BTN Members in good standing who have shown a passion towards helping others and who have been actively involved in the Building Trades Network group as a whole.

VETERANS FIRST
Veterans First, established in 1971, believes that we honor the brave men and women of the military in service to this country by helping to restore dignity to those Veterans whose sacrifices defending the freedoms that we cherish have left them in need. Until there are no American heroes sleeping in the streets, parks, cars or in alleyways, we will be here for them just as they were there for all of us.
Veterans First is the only nonprofit 501C(3) community based agency in Orange County that provides services exclusively to homeless and disabled Veterans and their families.
