Paul began his construction career in 1976 as a carpenter while in high school. After college Paul soon earned his general contractors license and later went on to earn his general engineering contractors license and reinforcing steel license. With a specialty in structural reinforcing projects, Paul was invited by the city of Los Angeles to join the engineering committees responsible for writing new residential and hillside build codes after the Northridge earthquake.
Paul’s background makes him a specialist in structural renovation for both commercial and residential properties, and his strong attention to detail, his craftsmanship, and his extensive knowledge of construction codes and techniques have made his company one of the premier General Contracting firms in Orange County.
Paul, and McKelvey Construction, serves all of Orange County and he has earned a reputation as being a trustworthy, honesty contractor. He works with only reliable, licensed and properly insured sub-contractors, and in 2010 founded the Building Trades Network to provide residential and commercial property owners and managers a group of reliable, honest building trades professionals to service their needs.
Along with his Class-B General Contracting license, Paul has earned his Class-A Engineering, Class C-8 Concrete and Class C-50 Reinforcing Steel licenses. Paul also earned a business degree from USC in 1983. He was in one of the first graduating classes from the newly formed Entrepreneur Program at the Marshall School of Business.
