That means not just doors, but Closet doors, Gates, Doggie Doors, Patio doors, Cabinet Doors you name it.
As for windows... I can do Garden and Bay Windows, Geometric Windows, Curtain Walls, Skylights as well as replace those leaky or fogged dual glazed window panes/panels.
I am a Licensed General Contractor.... Licensed, Bonded and Insured. That means... if you want a door where that window was, or vice versa, I can do also and move whatever pipes or wires that are in the way.
I do it right, I do it to code, I do a great job and a do as i would want someone to do for me.
Even though it is a single door installation... it has the characteristics of a remodel. There are codes that dictate safety as well as energy and fire egress. Simple things like where the light switch should be, and/or light .
There is framing, and loads that need to be managed. Wiring that needs to be rerouted properly, and the same with any pipes, cable or phone lines. Flooring, stucco, drywall, texture, mouldings and paint also needs to be matched.
It is like a mini Remodel.... Which along with Repairs and Restoration work, I have kind of carved a niche in restoring or refurbishing.
I have done some historical restorations. (in particular a Gropius home in Laguna Beach) I Restored windows that were imported from a 200 year old chateau in France.
"Now why on earth would anyone want to refurbish those old stuck windows?"
That's a fair question.
It is all about the look or feel or character of a home.
This guy wanted to recreate the feel of a French Chateau on Balboa Island. He had the money to import not only the windows, but the gas lamps, the timbers and even the cobblestones.
But usually a customer has one or two windows or doors that are damaged or in need of repair. One or two windows will standout and it won't be long before the husband or the wife start complaining that the rest of the windows need to be done.
Deep down you know He/She is right. ?But now we are talking about thousands and thousands of dollars. ?
As for remodels, I have done many from large to small, including Tenant Improvements ( TI's)
I am Licensed by the State of California CSLB #587509 , Established in 1990. I am also a certified door and window installer ( installation Masters Cert# 700002763)
